Work methodology

The work methodology elaborated for the EUREA project results both from the main issues identified and from the need to take into account the obstacles met within the academic community.
The nine partner universities therefore focus on finding ways to answer three great challenges:
  • Gain sufficient mutual knowledge so that they can exchange and construct efficiently together,
  • Build tight partnerships with existing databases, public bodies and private organizations, so as to significantly increase the scope of the project and to give it an essential business input,
  • Manage an IPR policy suitable to the specific needs of the universities.
Integrating these elements, the consortium proceeds by conducting 5 project-specific work packages, along with 3 more general ones (Management - #1, Assessment and Evaluation - #7, Awareness and Dissemination - #8). A project leader and a steering committee (set up during the kick-off meeting of the project - three meetings have been planned) will undertake the management of the project.
· Work Package #2: MUTUAL KNOWLEDGE
The first WP will be coordinated by the ULP. It will allow the partners to gain mutual knowledge of the content of their curricula, of their pedagogical e-resources, of theirs technical ICT resources, and of their specific needs and constraints. It will begin with the kick-off meeting, where each partner-university will present briefly to each others its activities and competencies in the field of ICT, its organisation, its actual and planned e-resources, and its curricula. On the basis of this knowledge, an expert of the ULP will then elaborate standards grids of description for the foreseen e-content, i.e. the content of the curricula in three fields selected by the partners during the kick-off meeting, and the other type of foreseen e-resources. In each university, an expert will then conduct an inventory of the content of the curricula in the selected fields and of the e-resources, toward the grids of description previously elaborated. A report will present the results of the analysis of the data so collected among the partners. After the diffusion of this report to all the partners, these ones will discuss the results obtained during the "median" meeting.
