EUREA: Towards the implementation!
The main and most obvious outcome of the EUREA project is that it will lead to an implementation project, EUREA II, through a complete and refined implementation plan taking into account the specificities and needs of the various partners, as well as the complex and permanently changing e-learning international surroundings. A EUREA-II proposal has been submitted to the European Commission in the framework of the eContentplus programme (Read the proposal online).
The end of this feasibility study appears therefore to be the real start of EUREA, and hopefully the beginning of a mature sustainable trans-European collaboration which will contribute to the reinforcement of our universities in Europe.
An emerging sustainable scheme
Another major overall outcome of EUREA I is the emergence of a sustainable picture supporting the challenging European ERA and Bologna processes through the promotion of the "research-based education" concept. This picture clarifies the long-run objectives of the EUREA and e-LERU projects, by highlighting their synergy and their complementarities around the "research-based education" concept.
The project's results are in line with the initial objectives
The EUREA feasibility study has enabled the partners to set up operating work methodologies and a real task force has been created. This was a crucial element for the success of the project, and for all the initial objectives to be reached: a general architecture came out of the study, with the layout for an appropriate IPR policy, a technical model and the elaboration of a pilot system, as well as a business model.
